By accessing or using Ameba.ac (the “Platform”, “Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please stop using the Service. Read these Terms together with our Privacy Policy.
1) Definitions
- Service: Features provided by the Platform, including AI-generated questions, practice, auto-grading, progress tracking, revision notes, formulae, accounts, and notifications.
- User / You: Any visitor or registered user (including students, parents/guardians, and educators).
- Content: Questions, answers, explanations, notes, reports, interface text, and user-submitted data.
2) Acceptance of Terms
Your use of the Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms and any updates. We may modify the Terms at any time; changes are effective when posted.
3) Eligibility
Minors must use the Service with parental/guardian consent. You must provide accurate information and not impersonate others.
4) Accounts & Security
- Keep your password confidential. All activity under your account is deemed yours.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or suspected breach.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for security or policy violations.
5) Permitted Use
- Use is for personal/educational purposes only. No unlawful, infringing, or disruptive activities; no API abuse.
- No scraping, bulk extraction, or mirroring of the Platform or its question bank.
- No uploading of illegal, infringing, obscene, hateful, or malicious content/code.
6) Intellectual Property
- The Platform’s UI, question bank, text, code, graphics, and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors.
- User-submitted materials remain yours; however, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, non-exclusive license to use them solely to operate/improve the Service, generate aggregate/anonymized analytics, and for research.
7) AI Content & Grading Disclaimer
- AI-generated content: Questions, answers, and explanations may be generated or assisted by AI and may contain errors or omissions.
- Grading is indicative only: Auto-grading, difficulty estimation, and performance reports (accuracy, timing, level, etc.) are advisory and must not be treated as official assessment.
- Human review required: For high-stakes or formal use, consult a teacher or qualified professional. We are not liable for losses arising from reliance on automated results.
- Corrections: You can report issues; we may correct or remove content without notice.
8) Academic Integrity
- Do not use the Service for cheating, impersonation, or prohibited exam conduct.
- Educators/institutions remain responsible for setting and enforcing appropriate use policies.
9) Plans & Payment
- (If offered) Premium plans: pricing, inclusions, renewal, and cancellation are shown at checkout.
- Taxes/FX depend on your location. Unless required by law or stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable.
10) Third-Party Services
- We may use third parties for email delivery, analytics, payments, hosting, etc.
- Such services have their own terms/privacy. Your use implies acceptance of those terms.
11) Privacy

12) Availability & Maintenance
- The Service is provided “AS IS” and may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or events beyond our control.
- We may modify or discontinue any feature at any time without notice.
13) No Warranties
No express or implied warranties, including but not limited to accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted/error-free operation.
14) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages. Our aggregate direct liability is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the prior 12 months (or £0 for free users).
15) Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations or security/operational reasons. Post-termination data handling follows the Privacy Policy.
16) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use after posting constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes will first be negotiated in good faith; failing that, they may be brought before the courts of England.
