Evaluate by substituting value. E.g. \(f(x) = 2x + 1\), then \(f(3) = 7\).

Transformations:

\(f(x) + a\): up \(a\), \(f(x + a)\): left \(a\), \(-f(x)\): reflect x-axis, \(f(-x)\): reflect y-axis.
